March 14 - Women's Introduction to Motorsport - Come n Try Khanacross

 

Ever wondered what being in the driver’s seat in motorsport is really like?

This is your chance to get behind the wheel in a supportive, women-focused environment — no motorsport experience required.

This program is designed to break down barriers, build confidence and show just how accessible Grassroots motorsport can be. This event is designed for women with little or no experience driving on unsealed surfaces. The day includes safety briefings, an introduction to Khanacross rules, and practical skills sessions to build confidence, finishing with a relaxed mini Khanacross in the afternoon

What's Included?

  • Supervised on-track driving (unsealed surface)
  • Introduction to Khanacross-style motorsport
  • Confidence-building, inclusive atmosphere
  • Coaching from experienced MA officials

Bring your own Road Registered of Khanacross suitable vehicle. Note the tracks at Mid Murray Motorplex are suitable for vehicles with standard height suspension.

Please wear enclosed shoes, cotton long sleeved top and full length pants.

Minimum age 17 (P-plates of 1yr of JDP experience)

Helmets will be provided if you don't have one of your own

Your vehicle needs to have

  • Mudflaps on the drive wheels
  • A 1kg (min) fire extinguisher secured and accessible (please advise if you need help with providing, or installing one of these)
  • Safe & secure lap/sash seatbelt

Entry Fee = $95

MA Licence = $40 (if required)
